Phonics Based Reading Classes
A comprehensive reading evaluation is given to each student as he or she enters our reading program.
This test allows us to diagnose the level at which the student is currently reading.
Once this is complete our reading therapist will review the results with the student's parents to determine the best way to work with the student to solve for his or her individual needs.
As part of the process to determine the plan for the student our reading therapist will request a parent-teacher conference with the student's teacher to gain insight into the student's classroom interaction and inform the teacher of the program that the student will be attending to improve their reading skills. At this time the reading therapist will work with the teacher to set short term and long term goals for the student.
