Phonics Based Reading Classes

A comprehensive reading evaluation is given to each student. This test enables us to assess the student's current reading level.

Once this is complete, our reading therapist will review the results with the student's parents to determine the best approach for working with the student to address their individual needs.

As part of the process to determine the plan for the student, our reading therapist will request a parent-teacher conference with the student's teacher to gain insight into the student's classroom interactions and inform the teacher about the program the student will be attending to improve their reading skills. At this time, the reading therapist will work with the teacher to set short-term and long-term goals for the student.
